Press Release - The Inland Revenue Department Launches Taxpayer and Public Engagement Programme in preparation for implementation of the Goods and Services Tax.

The Valley, Anguilla - The Inland Revenue Department (IRD), in preparation for the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 1 July 2022, is pleased to announce the launch of its Taxpayer and Public Engagement Programme commencing, Monday 14 February 2022.

The primary objectives of the programmme are to foster, among the general public, a greater understanding of how the GST works, and advise potential registrants on how to prepare for the implementation of the GST.

Various approaches will be utilized in delivering the engagement programme including consultations, focus group meetings, radio and television programmes and taxpayer advisories.
The IRD looks forward to an amicable and open dialogue with our stakeholders as we partner to ensure a smooth and successful implementation of the GST.
