Vehicle Licences

Vehicle Licences

All vehicles are licensed according to the last digit of their identification mark - commonly known as a registration number.

To license your vehicle, you are required to go to the Vehicle Inspection Centre at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, Utilities, Housing and Tourism (MICUHT) for examination.

If your vehicle is roadworthy, you will be issued a certificate signed by the Examining Officer. The certificate is then presented to the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) cashier for processing of licensing fees. Upon payment, a receipt and licence sticker or decal will be issued. The sticker should be displayed to the top right-hand corner of your windshield if the vehicle is a left-hand drive, and to the top left-hand corner if the vehicle is a right-hand drive.
